Brandy Donn Allison, age 36, passed away Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Olathe Hospice House.
Brandy was born July 28, 1979 in Neodesha, KS to Brian and Donna Taylor. She graduated from Olathe South High School in the Class of 1997, and earned her BSN from Pittsburg State University in 2001.
Brandy was passionate about Nursing, and her love of nursing was most evident in her position as Nurse Manager for the OR at Olathe Medical Center. She was a natural leader and enjoyed teaching others in her field. She always chose to do the right thing, taking time to listen to her colleagues to help them on a personal level. She truly loved being a nurse, and equally loved her Olathe Medical Center family.
Brandy loved spending time with her family, as well as her beloved animals. Watching movies, spontaneous home improvement projects, cookouts with family and friends were among her favorite activities.
We will remember Brandy as being strong, loyal, fearless and true. She will be greatly missed and was loved by all.
Surviving are her husband, Dustin Allison, her children Andrew & Brynn Allison, her parents Brian & Donna Taylor, and siblings Brianne Winters (Kyle), Danny Thayer, Bill Thayer, Joy Prunty (Lance) and Brogan Taylor (Natalie). Also surviving are her aunts and uncles Darlene & Mike Burnett, Rick Taylor, Keith & Linda Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her aunt, Michelle Taylor.
Brandy was meant to be a Mom. She did everything right to make sure Andrew and Brynn were healthy and safe. One of her favorite things to do was to make hot chocolate and snuggle up with the kids for a movie. She loved her kids so much.
Her twin sister, Brianne Winters, was her best friend and considered Brianne’s daughters Paige and Piper her children too, spoiling them both every chance she got.
