In Memory Of
Deborah Lynn Bell
1947 - 2022

Deborah "Debbie" Lynn Bell, 75, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022. She was born on July 16, 1947 in Kansas City, Kansas to Lloyd and Wanda (Malott) Bell.

Debbie attended kindergarten and 1st grade at Maccochaque grade school in Rosedale, Kansas. She transferred to T.A. Edison Elementary (O'Dell Edition, Rural Route, Kansas) which was annexed by Kansas City, Kansas, where she attended 2nd through 6th grade, (1954-1960). After that, she went to Rosedale Junior & Senior High School, graduating in 1966. Debbie then attended the Emporia Teacher's College from 1966-1967. In September 1967, she married Thomas Eddington and had 2 children, Jennifer and Allen. After divorcing, Debbie married John Richmond but again divorced in 1997. Debbie met David and they fell in love. They married in 2008. Dave and Debbie, or “The D's” as we affectionately called them, loved to dance, spending days on the pontoon boat at the lake, and traveling. She loved spending time with family and friends. Her companionship, kind, caring heart, and her warm smile will be sorely missed. Debbie was a very strong believer in God and the salvation of His son, Jesus Christ, and we take great comfort in knowing that she is now with Him enjoying her heavenly reward.

Debbie is survived by her loving husband, David Bonewits of Overland Park, Kansas; children, Jennifer (Jeff) Falk of Prairie Village Kansas and Allen (Joyce) Eddington of Wichita Kansas; sister, Deanna (David) Pestock of Kansas City, Kansas; brother, Donald (Mary) Bell of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Haley) Falk Jr. of Olathe, Kansas, Lee, Matthew, and Molly Falk of Prairie Village, Kansas, Brenden Eddington of Wichita, Kansas, Corie Eddington, and Chelsie, of Topeka, Kansas, Colby of Odessa, Texas; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, Dennis Bell.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 1:00-2:00pm on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Penwell Gable's Olathe Chapel, the funeral service will follow at 2:00pm. Burial will be at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Overland Park, Kansas.

In my Father's house there are many mansions.
If there were not, would I have told you
That I am going to prepare a place for you?

And if I go and prepare a place for you,
I will come back again and take you to myself,
So that where I am you may also be.

Where I am going you know the way.
I am the way, the truth and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:1-6
