Jose Manuel De La Isla Flores, 41, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Wednesday, November 2, 2022. He was born on March 2, 1981 in Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico to Jose De La Isla and Maria Cristina Flores.

Jose grew up in Celaya playing soccer, riding his bike, and playing music. In high school he had a band and was surrounded by an incredible friend group and graduated in 2000 in Celaya from Colegio Marista. He came to the US on a music scholarship at Wichita State. Jose and Sara Jo began dating on Halloween in 2010 and were inseparable. His family and music were where he found his happiness.

Jose is survived by his loving wife, Sara Jo De La Isla; children, Cristina De La Isla, Giovanni De La Isla, and Lorraine De La Isla; Mother, Maria Cristina Flores; Brother, Demetrio Gonzalez (Alicia Chavez) and Sister, Sally Korte (Dallas Korte); 10 nieces and nephews and 4 great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests for a visitation from 10:00-11:00am on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Olathe, with Mass following at 11:00am.
