Betty Jo Davis Ellis, 91, of Star City, AR passed away Thurs. Aug. 11th at Village Shalom in Overland Park, KS. A joint celebration of life with Robert Pearce Ellis will be held at 11 am, August 20th at Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.

Betty was born Nov. 28, 1930 in Memphis, TN to Lester and Elva Belle Davis. Betty graduated from Central High School in 1948; Bob and Betty were married the same year. Betty was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and was the liturgist for the early service. Betty was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, she loved travel, music and painting. She also helped Bob run their cotton company for several years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Pearce Ellis and son, James Lester Ellis.

She is survived by her son Robert P Ellis, Jr (Pam) of Columbia, TN., daughter Cindy Wallace (Billy) of Olathe, KS and daughter in law, Margaret Ellis of Florida. Other survivors include four grandchildren, Shane Ellis (Melissa), Angela Conrad (Paul), Trey Ellis (Ann Marie) and Jeffrey Wallace (Audrey) and nine great-grandchildren. The family would like to send a very special thank you to Joe Bumpass and all the many caregivers over the past eight years.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Lakeside United Methodist Church in Pine Bluff, Arkansas.
