John J. Nicholas, III, age 72, formerly of Olathe, KS, passed away on September 24, 2021 at his home in Fort Worth, TX.

He was born on October 27, 1948 to John and Marion Nicholas in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1966.

He served our country in the U.S. Army for six years during the Vietnam War.

John worked as a Senior Control Room Operator for Bott Radio Network, retiring in 2014.

On January 28, 1990, he married Kristina J. Stiles. They relocated from Southern CA to Kansas City in 1993, where they made their home.

He was a member of Calvary Chapel Johnson County, where he enjoyed teaching youth Sunday School classes and singing on the worship team. He later attended Ascend Church KC prior to moving to Texas in 2020.

John is survived by his loving wife, Kristina, stepdaughter Debbie David (Jeff), sons Damon, Anthony (Savana), and Kyler, daughters Nickya Robertson (Jeremiah), Brianna, and Lillian, his father, John J. Nicholas, Jr., six grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Marion Nicholas, stepmother Dorothy Nicholas, brother Russell Nicholas, stepbrother Burley Brown, grandfather John J. Nicholas, Sr. and grandmother, Lillian Nicholas.

Memorials are suggested to the Veterans Administration or Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
