In high school, he played football and wrestled, but ultimately decided to focus his full attention on wrestling. He placed at state his junior year and as a senior was crowned a 6A State Wrestling Champion in 2012.
He graduated from Olathe North High School in 2012 and went on to attend college at Johnson County Community College and Kansas State University. He later moved to Indianapolis, Indiana, to be with his family. While in Indiana Rory worked on several projects in the construction field.
He was an avid football fan and especially loved watching his favorite teams play, Kansas State, Indianapolis Colts and especially “The Chiefs”. Watching them win the Super Bowl, with his family, was a very special moment that they will always treasure.
