Reverend Gerald "Toby" Lee Toburen, 85, of Olathe, passed away on June 4, 2020 at Evergreen Community of Johnson County.

He was born on June 17, 1934 to Leslie and Lily (Mengadoth) Toburen at Okarche, OK.

On June 11, 1961, he married Winona Brown. Toby and Winona made their home in Pueblo, CO and moved to many other places throughout his ministry, retiring in Olathe, KS.

Toby was employed as an Ordained Minister with the United Methodist Church for over 50 years.

He enjoyed sports, both playing and watching.

Toby is survived by his wife, Winona, son, Lance Toburen, daughters, Shannon Toburen, and Gretta Toburen, and his sister Sarah Lindblad.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Leslie Toburen.

Memorials are suggested to the Center of Grace, 520 S Harrison St., Olathe, KS 66061 and Crosslines Community, 736 Shawnee Ave., Kansas City, KS 66105 .

Private family services to be held, with a public Celebration of Life at a later date.
