Marion Keith Roper, 83, of Shawnee, KS, passed away on July 29, 2019 at Brookdale Rosehill Assisted Living.

He was born on September 4, 1935 to Russell and Selma (Ochs) Roper in Hutchinson, KS.

Marion served our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1953-1957.

On April 4th, 1959 , he married Norma Jean (Boese), and they made their home in Stilwell, Kansas for many years.

He was employed as a Machinist for Continental Tool, for over 20 years .

He enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening and spending time with family and friends and great grandchildren Arilynn and Whitley Lyons.

Marion is survived by his loving wife, Norma, daughter and son in law Victoria and Jeffery Huck, and grandchildren Kristin Lyons and Katarina Huck. As well as, sister Carol Warner and Brothers Robert and Kenneth Roper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings. Brothers Donald, Gerald, and Russell Roper and sister Fayetta Molby.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019, at 2:00 pm at Penwell-Gabel - Olathe Chapel, Olathe, Kansas, with visitation an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in the Aubry Cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
