Wayne A. Stull, 86, passed away peacefully on April 26, 2026. He was born on December 11, 1939 to Raymond and Doris Stull. Wayne lived a life marked by dedication to family, professional excellence, generosity, and a deep appreciation for life’s adventures.
Raised in Atchison, Kansas, Wayne graduated from high school in 1957 before earning his undergraduate degree from Benedictine College and later a master’s degree in economics from the University of Missouri. In 1958, he married Sally Walker, beginning a lifelong bond rooted in love and family.
Wayne began his career with IBM selling mainframe computers. His entrepreneurial streak saw an opportunity to build a new technology business which he operated as the CEO until his retirement in 2010. A longtime member of Milburn Country Club, Wayne cherished golf, friendships, and the many memories created there. He was also a passionate pilot whose love of flying extended into service through Angel Flight Central. He generously volunteered his time and aircraft to provide free charitable flights for those in need of medical care and other humanitarian assistance. Wayne also enjoyed fishing, hunting, travel, family vacations, Kansas City sports, and spending treasured time with loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Stull, who passed away on January 29, 2018.
Wayne is survived by his three children: Jeff Stull (Carolyn), Mark Stull (Nikki), and Stacy Ahlrichs (Phil); eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren, with a fifth on the way; his sister, Lois Barthel (Bill); and many extended family members and dear friends.
Wayne’s final decision was to accept Christ as his Lord and Savior. May he now rest in peace.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. on May 23, 2026, at Milburn Country Club.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Angel Flight Central, honoring Wayne’s lifelong commitment to helping others.
