here. Wayne C. Arbuckle, 93, of Olathe, passed away on August 27, 2024, in Olathe after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by family.
Wayne found deep comfort in his church as an unofficial greeter, family, and his unwavering faith.
He was born on June 10, 1931, to Fred and Ruby (Burnett) Arbuckle at Bay Village, Arkansas.
He served our country in the US Army from 1953 to 1954.
On January 24, 1953, he married Betty Jo Atkins, and they made their home in Earle, Arkansas.
Wayne worked as an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance until he and Jo retired to Grove, Oklahoma.
He was a member of Abundant Life Assembly of God, and he enjoyed being a part of that church family.
Wayne is survived by his brother, Wilborn Arbuckle and sister, Shirley Lomax, his son, Philip Arbuckle, two daughters, Jackie Howard and her husband Jerry and Kimberly Kline, grandchildren, Matthew and Benjamin Arbuckle, Joshua Howard and wife Tara, and Jacob Howard and wife April, Cameron Kline and wife Kassy, Christian Kline, Carson Kline and wife Julia, and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Ruby (Burnett) Arbuckle, wife, Betty Jo, brother Henry Arbuckle, daughter-in-law, Twila Arbuckle (Downen), and twin grandsons, Charlton and Colton Kline.
