Victoria JoeAnn Gust

Victoria JoeAnn Gust, also known as Jodie to many throughout her life, was born on December 26th, 1960, in Kansas City, Missouri. She passed away in her apartment home in Olathe, KS on Sunday April 19th, 2026. She was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a month prior.

Victoria lived in many different places, calling various cities across Kansas home. She attended Calvary Bible College and studied early childhood education at Johnson County Community College. Victoria married Jonathan Michael Gust on August 8th, 1981, raising four children and later divorcing on December 9th, 2008. She dedicated most of her life to working with children, starting with providing childcare to many at her in-home daycare. At Olathe Bible Church, she provided care on Sundays and eventually became the care coordinator of the church’s nursery. For more than a decade, she served as a para educator for the Olathe School District and later the Manhattan-Ogden School District. She transitioned to work as a sales associate at Mardel Christian and Education, where she later retired from in fall of 2025.

Victoria is proceeded in death by her parents, Martha JoeAnn Humphress and Jack Lee Winkler, and ex-husband Jonathan Michael Gust. She is survived by her four sons, Joshua Michael Gust, Bradley Jonathan Gust, Justin Lee Gust, and Benjamin Matthew Gust, daughter-in-law Hunnie Gust, her siblings Bill Winkler, Tim Winkler, Doug Winkler, and Martha Winkler DiSanto, and her grandchildren.

Victoria enjoyed reading, hobbies like cross-stitch and going for walks, playing video games with her sons, and hosting family lunches together on Sundays. She will be missed dearly.
