Theodore J. "Ted" Cygan Sr

Theodore J. "Ted" Cygan Sr., a beloved figure in his community, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2025, at the age of 89 in Olathe, Kansas. Born on February 18, 1936, in Kansas City, Kansas, Ted's life was marked by his dedication to family and his unwavering commitment to the values he held dear.

He leaves behind a loving family that includes his son, Theodore J. "Ted" Cygan Jr., and wife Cindy and his devoted daughter, Connie Ferreria, 20 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who will cherish his memory and the lessons he imparted throughout their lives.

His life was a tapestry woven with kindness, wisdom, and a deep love for those around him. Ted will be remembered not only for his contributions to his family but also for the warmth he brought to his friendships and community. He touched the hearts of all who knew him and will be sorely missed.

A visitation will be held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, located at 14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS 66062, on September 17, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM with a graveside following at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together to honor Ted's legacy and share fond memories.
