Ted Anthony Hollembeak, 64, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on November 29th after a courageous battle with sarcoma.
Born on September 21, 1961, to Jerry and Niki Hollembeak, Ted grew up in Overland Park and attended Shawnee Mission West High School. He later graduated from Emporia State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Affairs and went on to earn his Juris Doctorate from the University of Texas.
Ted dedicated his life to his family as a loving son, husband, father, and an enthusiastic coach to each of his children. He will be remembered most for his quick wit, his steady warmth, and the deep compassion he carried for the people he loved. He is survived by his wife, Catherine; his children, Alexa, Michael, Julia, and Joey; his mother, Niki; and his sisters, Jacque Lindberg and Melissa Wright. He was preceded in death by his son, Everett, and his father, Jerry.
A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 6th at Prince of Peace Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. A wake will take place on Friday, December 5th from 6:30-8:00p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home with the Rosary and remembrances by family and friends at 6pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Ted be made to the 1ninety-nine charity https://199joco.org.
