Listen to Obituary

Tammy Eugenia Williams, 60, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 22, 2025 in Olathe, Kansas. She was born to Thomas “Tommy” Eady and Evelyn Williams on September 5, 1964 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. She later moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she grew up and attended Southeast High School class of 1982.

Tammy was a cheerleader, a natural athlete and model. She loved smiling and posing for pictures. Tammy got her first job at Burger King as a cashier and loved going shopping, often for her siblings. After starting a family in 1985, she moved to Texas from 1986-1994.

Tammy and her children moved back to Kansas City in the summer of 1994 where she became a lifeguard at the neighborhood pool. She enjoyed spending summers at the pool and teaching her children how to swim. Years later she earned her license as a mixologist. She was known as “Tammy Too” when she started at Sideline Bar and Grill. Tammy continued working at various bars, clubs and parties, becoming one of the most sought out bartenders in Kansas City.

Tammy was also known as “BIG MAMA” (named after her late grandmother) by her grandkids. Anyone that truly knew Tammy knew she was proud of her children and grandchildren and never needed a reason to brag on them. Her infectious smile and humor was always followed by jokes and laughs. She just loved having a good time.

Devoted to her family, Tammy is survived by her mother Evelyn Williams, her children: Damesha Graham, 40, Twameeka Welton, 39, (Bruce Welton), and Darren Graham, 37 (Tempest Graham); grandchildren: Brayden Welton, Elizabeth Graham, Brendan Welton, Breland Welton, and Demi Graham; siblings Tommy Griffin, 71, Denise Eady-Eustice, 64, Patricia Irving-Eady, 63, Claudia Williams, 59, Phillip Williams, 58, Geo Riddlespriger, 54, and Donald Riddlespriger, 52.; her aunt Phyllis “Anie” Smith, cousins Tony and Bernie Smith, a host nieces, nephews, and a list of friends who became like family over the years. She was preceded in death by her father Thomas Eady, brother Dwayne Eady (55), and sister Karen Sneed (60).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions in Tammy’s memory be made to CashApp $ForeverBigMama or cash donations.
