Susan C. Horst

Susan C. Horst, born on February 4, 1944, in McPherson, Kansas, passed away on December 15, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas. Susan, who also held the maiden name Jehle, was a beloved member of her family and community.

Susan is survived by her son and his wife, Vincent & Michelle, and their children-Morgan, Chance, Chandler, Holden, Logan, Hayden, Ava, and Brooklynn, all of whom brought immense joy to Susan's life.

Susan also leaves behind her brother, Chris and his husband Frank Siccone, her sister-in-law, Kay Jehle, who was married to her late brother, Fred. Her extended family includes Ken and Jenny Jehle, whose children - Jonathan, Aaron, Jacob, Adam, and Megan-held a special place in Susan's heart, as well as Craig and Kristine DiScala, with children Sam, Beth and Sophia. Additionally, she is survived by her nephew, Scott & Roberta Jehle and their children Mathew, Nicholas, and Ali.

She was preceded in death by her dear son, Duane, and daughter, Debra, as well as her siblings, Connie, Greg, Fred, and Jon.

Family and friends are invited to honor Susan's memory at the visitation/reception on December 29, 2025, from 3:00 to 4:00 pm, followed by a memorial service at 4:00 pm, both held at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home located at 14275 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, Kansas.

Susan's warmth, kindness, and love for her family will be greatly missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
