Stephanie Ann Wiles, 59, of Leawood, KS (Formerly of St. Louis, MO) passed away Wednesday August 19, 2026.
Stephanie was born December 21, 1966 in Fredericktown, Missouri to Dr. Rev. Murrell T. Cunningham and Rebecca A. (Hale). She attended Clayton High School and received her undergraduate degree from the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL), then her Masters in Education from, UMSL. She was united in marriage to Stewart A. Wiles on November 17th , 1989. Stephanie enjoyed traveling, scrapbooking and reading. She had a love of history, especially European history. There is little to no doubt that she would have won any game show and would have been the best partner to have for the game show Family Feud. Stephanie’s cooking was second to none and the traditions she created for holidays for her family made for lasting memories. She gained the most joy from being with her family and especially her grandchildren. She devoted her life to her grandchildren and enjoyed teaching them new skills and sharing her love of books and learning with them. Stephanie adored her family above all else and always made herself available to them no matter how early in the morning or late in the evening it was. The most important title to her was that of Mother and Mimi, which her grandchildren affectionately called her. She took some much pleasure in spoiling her grandchildren and making sure they constantly had sweets whenever they asked. Stephanie always placed others before herself and truly embodied and exemplified the actual definition of selfless and unconditional love.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years Stewart A. Wiles, their sons; Andrew T.A. Wiles, Esq., (Jacqueline B. Wiles) of Overland Park, KS and Dr. Michael W.C. Wiles (Katherine G.K. Wiles) of Arlington, VA. She is also survived by her 2 grandsons Eric (4) and Adam (3), with baby Ryan to be born in Nov 2026. She will be greatly missed by all whom she touched in life especially her family.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Stephanie’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
