Rosie Lowe was born to parents Ernest and Amy Staten of Bucyrus, KS on February 24, 1936, at the family farmhouse. She went to Pleasant Valley Rural School then graduated from Stanley High School in 1954. She took her first job out of High School as a secretary at Westinghouse in Kansas City.
She married her high school sweetheart, Bill Lowe on July 16, 1954, and they settled in Stanley KS. Together, they had a family of six, four boys and two girls. Once the children were school age, Rosie drove the school bus for 13 years in the Blue Valley district. She then became a school cook for several years at Blue Valley High School. Her last job was at Sysco where she worked as their Kitchen Manager. She retired at the age of 59 due to arthritis.
Rosie is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Amy, two brothers, Donald and Philip, sister Alice Justice, husband Bill, daughter Shelley Turner and granddaughter Krystle. Rosie is survived by: sister Jean Sharp, children Bill (Deanna), Bonnie, David (Teri), Tom, and Randy (Staci), 11 grandchildren, and 26 great-grandchildren.
Rosie and family were members of the Stanley Community Church until the family spread out in Kansas and Oklahoma.
The family has noted that their father Bill passed away Oct. 19, 1976, and now mom on Oct. 18, 2025.
