Rosalee (Rosie) Cramer, 95, passed away on Wednesday, August 15th at Hoeger House in Olathe, Kansas.
Rosie lived a long and beautiful life married to her high school sweetheart Gene for 77 years!
Rosie was born to Joe and Celia Chasnoff, in Sedalia, Missouri in 1929. She graduated from Smith Cotton High School in Sedalia, MO., in 1947, then attended Central Business College in Sedalia.
Rosie worked as a teller then, loan officer at Patrons Bank in Olathe for 28 years.
During her lifetime, she spent many hours with the Jaycee Janes, Chamber of Commerce, cheering on the KC Chiefs, KC Royals & Kansas State Wildcats.
Gene’s job transferred them to several beautiful places across the country such as Knoxville, Tennessee, where they spent many weekends at cabins in the Smokey Mountains and followed the Tennessee Volunteers. Gene also worked in Dallas, Texas for a short time, and then Phoenix, Arizona, where Rosie enjoyed swimming. Regardless of where they were, Rosie and Gene never missed their grandchildren’s activities.
They eventually returned to Olathe where Rosie’s time was filled playing bridge, card games and Bunko with many friends and family. Later, she was in several ladies on-line bridge groups.
Rosie was cherished and loved by many. She was the person you wanted to call with news of joy or sadness. She was fun, funny, and loved life.
Rosie will be remembered as GIGI, a loving and adored Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Aunt. She is survived by her husband Gene, daughter Joy (Larry) of Olathe, KS. son, Jeff (Cindy) of Columbia, Missouri, 2 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Celia Chasnoff, father Joesph Chasnoff, sister Louise Safron.
The family will receive guests for a visitation Sunday, September 15, 2024, from 2:00pm - 4:30 pm, at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, KS. No services following.
Burial will take place on Monday, September 16th, 2024 at 1:00 at Peninsula Cemetery in Blackwater, Missouri.
