After battling with Pancreatic cancer for a 1 ½ years, Rosa E. Echavarria, 67 of Olathe, Kansas passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on October 31, 2013. Rosa was born on October 29, 1946 to Rosa Elvira and Jose Agustin Camargo in Bogota Colombia South America.
Rosa is survived by her husband of 48 years, Luis Hernando Echavarria of Olathe KS, two daughters, Amalia Echavarria of Olathe KS, Veronica Henson and her husband Sean of Spring Hill KS, two sons, William Echavarria and his wife Martha of Orlando FL, Alex Echavarria and his wife Shana of Overland Park, KS. She has 12 grandchildren, Evelyn, Alisha, Maria, Grant, Luisa, Camilo, Alyssa, Jada, Cole, David, Daniela, and Kylie and one Great Grandchildren, Hadassa. Five sisters; Blanca Moreno of Bogota Colombia, Dioselina Trujillo of Bogota Colombia, Edelmira Salazar of Bogota Colombia and Isabel Marroquin of Bogota Colombia, one brother; Eduardo Camargo of Corona CA.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be sent in memory of Rosa Echavarria, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (800) 877-5833.
