Robert "Rob" Wahoff, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. A private family burial service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery. A Celebration of Life will be announced and held at a later date. Please check back.
Rob was born on March 4, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Ernest and Marjorie Wahoff. He later moved with his family to St. Louis, Missouri, where he graduated from Parkway High School in 1965.
While attending college, Rob answered the call to serve his country. Drafted into the United States Army, he proudly served two years, including a year in Vietnam. His service reflected the courage, commitment, and sense of duty that would remain hallmarks of his character throughout his life.
Before leaving for Vietnam, Rob met the love of his life, Sandy, in 1968. Their bond remained strong through his deployment, and after returning home in May 1969, the couple married in June 1970. Together they built a beautiful marriage and a loving family that would become the center of Rob's world.
Determined to provide for his growing family while pursuing his education, Rob worked full-time for a veterinary pharmaceutical company while attending college classes at night. His hard work and perseverance paid off when he graduated from Rockhurst College in December 1975. By then, Rob and Sandy were already proud parents to two sons, Mark and Matt, and would later welcome their daughter, Robin.
Rob enjoyed a long and successful career with Bayer, where he worked for nearly 44 years. He was respected for his dedication, work ethic, and integrity, qualities that guided him both professionally and personally.
Above all else, Rob was devoted to his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who always put those he loved first. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: spending time with family and friends, playing golf, sharing stories and laughter, and creating lasting memories with those around him.
Rob had a gift for connecting with people. His warm smile, kind heart, and easygoing nature made everyone feel welcome. Whether on the golf course, at family gatherings, or in everyday conversations, he genuinely enjoyed being with others and making the most of every moment.
His legacy is one of love, perseverance, service, and unwavering dedication to family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but the lessons he taught, the love he shared, and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known him.
Rob's life was well-lived, his love was generously given, and his memory will be cherished forever. Our family takes comfort in knowing that while he may no longer walk beside us, he will always remain in our hearts.
