Robert Gerald Stufflebeam, II passed away on October 11, 2025 in Lenexa, Kansas. Bob was born on January 24, 1953 in Ottumwa, Iowa, he grew up in Des Moines and attended Tech High School. He apprenticed with his father, Robert Sr., and learned auto body repair and restoration. He lived a life devoted to his family and craft.
Throughout his career in auto repair, Bob was known for his exceptional skills and unwavering quality service. His attention to detail and genuine passion for his work earned him the respect of both colleagues and customers alike. In his spare time, Bob enjoyed making birdhouses from scraps of wood that would have otherwise been discarded. He could have easily sold many of them, but instead shared them freely with others he came into contact with.
The last few years Bob lived in Lakeview Village, where he was loved and cared for. Bob always accepted everyone just as they were, and made many friends; both staff and residents. He soon became an ambassador to welcome new residents, made them feel at home, and quickly became their friend. He was loved by many.
Bob is survived by his beloved parents, Robert and Nadine Stufflebeam, along with his sister, Shelli Ely (Bill), his daughter, Jessica Stufflebeam, son, Ian Stufflebeam, nephew, Dr. Brandon Barthel, niece, Ashley Trivino, great-nephew, Gabriel Trivino, and great-niece, Sofia Trivino. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Reverend LC and Edythe Stufflebeam and his maternal grandparents, Spurgeon and Dorothy Grooms.
His warmth, kindness, sense of humor and smile will be dearly missed by many. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
