Robert (Bob) T. Pearson

Robert Thomas Pearson passed away peacefully on 5-8-26 at his home in Olathe, Kansas at the age of 89.

A devoted Christian, faith in God was the foundation of Bob's life. As an Elder in the Community of Christ church, his relationship with God shaped the way he lived and loved others. Bob was the steady foundation and heart of his family. He created a home filled with love, laughter and lasting memories. Bob was also a skilled craftsman whose talent and creativity were evident in every project he pursued. In 1967, he began his career with Pearson & Co., Inc., restoring antique popcorn wagons and manufacturing many types of custom food service equipment, earning national admiration and recognition for his craftsmanship, innovation, knowledge and expertise. Bob also enjoyed a wide range of hobbies and passions. He was a private pilot, restored classic cars, was a founding member of NHRA Drag Racing, collected LGB trains and memorabilia and was a skilled wood carver. Bob's curiosity, artistry and enthusiasm for life were reflected in all he created and collected.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents, Gaylord R Pearson and Hazel Pearson, his mother and father-in-law Mildred Breshears and Arthur Knowles, his brother and sister-in-law Jimmy and Louise Pearson, his sister-in-law Judy Dent and his five beloved dogs, Jackson, Frosty, Crystal, Czar and Nadia.

Bob is survived by his loving wife Barbara of 67 years and his children, Scott Pearson, Karen Kendrick (Mark), and Todd Pearson (Deanne), as well as his grandchildren, Jason Kendrick, Jonathan Kendrick, Matthew Pearson, Heather Pearson and Nathan Pearson and great-grandchildren, Bella Kendrick, Jameson Kendrick and Caden Kendrick. He is also survived by his brother, David Pearson (Linda) and brother-in-law, John Dent, along with twelve nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held at the Olathe Community of Christ church at 15520 S Ridgeview, Olathe, KS 66062 on 6-20-26 at 11:00 am followed by a luncheon.
