Forever in his hands

As a child, my tiny hand would reach up and fit comfortably into the palm of my father's tender, yet powerful hand.
With those hands he picked me up, pulled me along, guided me and gently pointed me in the direction that I needed to go.
In his hands I found strength, reassurance, protection, but most of all, I felt his love.
The small boy longed for the day when his hand would be as large and as powerful as the man he simply called "Pop".
But I am grateful that day never came, for my hands could never be equal to his, they would always fit inside
The strength, assurance, guidance, protection and most of all the love would never go away
I love you Pop, and I await the day when my small hand will never have to leave your palm
Revelation 21:3-4 will come to pass and then I will stay FOREVER in your hands

By Michael T Harris, on behalf of Reggie, Kami, Jamison, Jayden, and most of all Cynthia Harris
