Reginald Maurice Moultrie

Reginald M. Moultrie, age 69, of Olathe KS, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 18th, 2025. His wife and soulmate, Ms. Louise Lake-Moultrie, was by his side.

Born on January 11th, 1956 in Columbia, South Carolina, he was the proud son of (late) Sergeant Major (Reverend) Samuel F. Moultrie and Mrs. Ethel T. Moultrie. He was affectionately known as “Reggie or Reg” to his family, friends, and colleagues. He was a member of Pemberton Township High School’s (PTHS) “Class of 1974,” and attended Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. 

Reggie was the President and CEO of Moute Point Inc., the VP of Amusements at Dave & Buster’s, and an early member of the Six Flags Great Adventure management team. He was also a highly sought after consultant. 

Reggie was outgoing, charismatic, an accomplished athlete, successful businessman and entrepreneur, and most importantly a man with a very deep love of family, friends, and people. Witty, perpetually happy, and an eternal optimist, he lived every day to the fullest. Growing up in a military family his travels enabled him to explore and appreciate different places, cultures, and people. While his unparalleled work ethic made him a life-long success, his affection and natural need to support and assist others made him human. He loved a good movie, a reunion with family or friends, or a round of golf. Not surprisingly, he was as comfortable with globally recognized celebrities as he was with former colleagues or classmates. 

With a long lineage of pastors in his family, Reggie loved and publicly pronounced his faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Hailing from a founding family of Saint Mark Baptist Church, Browns Mills, NJ, he participated in the church’s first baptismal ceremony. He would devotedly serve the church during his time in Pemberton. 

He was a star athlete lettering in multiple PTHS sports and excelling in football where he was named to the All-Burlington County and All-South Jersey football teams. He had the distinction of participating in Jersey Boys State and subsequently went on to receive a full 4-year scholarship to attend Rutgers University where he was a stellar athlete and a stand-out on the undefeated team of 1976. He was a member of the PTHS and Rutgers Hall of Fame.

The greatest love of Reggie’s life was his family. His wife, son, mom or as he affectionally called her “momma,” siblings, in-laws, and especially his grandchildren were his greatest joy. He leaves to cherish his memory his devoted wife, Louise; his son Dustin Moultrie (Jennifer) Denver, CO; grandchildren Eva and Quinn; mother, Ethel Moultrie, Browns Mills, NJ; brothers, Samuel Moultrie (Robin), Keller, TX, Ronald Moultrie (Darlene), Annapolis, MD, and Bruce Moultrie (Natalie), Liberty, MO; step-son Devin Lake Archie (Devon) Olathe, KS; grandchildren Grey and Jiro Archie, and former spouse Karyl Moultrie, Denver, CO., and a host of Aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 

He is preceded in death by his sister Rosylin (& Horace) Harris.

Although his light has dimmed on earth, his star shines eternally bright in heaven. We will forever cherish his life and memory.
