Raymond Eugene Vance, age 95, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2025 with his sons by his side. He was born on July 24, 1929 in Olathe, KS to Samuel Raymond & Trudie Nona Freeman Vance.
Raymond was a proud father, grandfather & great grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Mary Lou (Conn) and his daughter Patricia Sue (Vance) Faltermeier. Raymond is survived by his sons, Steve (Jeanette) of Springdale, AR and Doug (Susan) of Olathe, KS, grandchildren Molly, Anna, Sarah, Rachel, Kayce, Tessa, Emily and Trey, and 13 great grandchildren.
He also leaves behind his fur buddies Chica (aka Tiki), Annie, Roxy and Izzy, who never missed an opportunity to get a treat from him.
Raymond served in the Korean War and then began his career at Kansas City Power & Light, where he worked as a lineman for 42 years before retiring.
He loved being outdoors and spending time in the garden. Raymond rarely complained and took things in stride, which probably contributed to his long life. He will be missed very much by his family, who are thankful for the time spent with him.
A celebration of life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on July 3rd at Penwell-Gabel.
