Ralph Frederick Morgan, a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather, passed away unexpectedly on November 10, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas.
He was born on April 25, 1945, in Cleveland, Ohio, and his journey through life was marked by both personal and professional achievements. Ralph proudly served in the United States Air Force, a testament to his commitment to his country. After completing his military service, he worked several years in furniture sales, then he pursued an education that led to an Associates Degree, enhancing his career as a salesman for a beauty supply company. His professionalism and expertise allowed him to forge lasting relationships in the industry, and he was respected by colleagues and clients alike.
Family was at the heart of Ralph's life. He is survived by his beloved wife, JoAnn, who stood by his side throughout their many 55 years together of marriage. Ralph was the proud father of two daughters, Melissa Morgan Ramsey (son-in-law Todd Ramsey) and Melanie Morgan, and a doting grandfather who cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, Parker Morgan, Libby Ramsey and Jackson Ramsey. He took great joy in attending their school and sporting events, often being their loudest cheerleader, as he reveled in their accomplishments and milestones.
And we can’t forget all the family dogs, Meisie, Hank, Max and now Stella. They all loved him, he was the best dog-sitter in the family.
Outside of his family life, Ralph had a passion for golfing and was an avid sports fan. He loved cheering on of the Kansas City Chiefs and Royals as well as the Kansas Jayhawks, both of his daughter’s alma mater. Whether perfecting his swing on the golf course or watching his favorite team, he embraced life with enthusiasm and a genuine love for the people around him.
Ralph's legacy will be remembered through the joy he brought to his family and the indelible impact he made on those fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind not only a loving family but also a wealth of fond memories and storiesthat will continue to inspire and bring smiles to all who remember him.
