Paul Scott Callahan, 63, of Olathe, KS passed away surrounded by family on December 26, 2025, following a courageous six-year battle with cancer.
Paul was born on May 24, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Robert and Marilyn Callahan. He attended Shawnee Mission East High School, Class of ‘81, and went on to build a lifelong career as an auto mechanic. Paul worked in the automotive industry for 45 years, beginning at Western Auto and finishing his career at Goodyear, where his strong work ethic, skill, and honesty earned him the respect of many.
Paul loved anything outdoors, especially when it meant spending time with his family and friends. He found his greatest joy in watching his four grandchildren grow up and play sports, never missing a chance to cheer them on. A man of his word and full of life, Paul loved his family more than anything and was deeply devoted to his children and grandchildren.
Paul is preceded in death by his father, Robert Callahan and survived by his mother, Marilyn Callahan; his former wife, Connie and their two sons, Adam and Andrew (Amelia) Callahan and their children Landon, Reagan, Kylan, and Camden, who brought him immense pride and happiness. He is further survived by his siblings; Tom (Denise), Tim (Kelly), John (Lori), David (Amy) Mark (Mary), Kevin (Eileen), Lisa and Chris.
Paul will forever be remembered for his strength, kindness, loyalty, love for the outdoors, and above all his deep love for his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, honesty, and unconditional love that will continue through all who knew him.
Visitation is Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 10:00 am followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am at Cure' of Ars Catholic Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, KS. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery, Lenexa, KS.
