Patricia B. Nowakowski

Patricia (Pat) Nowakowski, age 80, was born on September 12, 1945, in New Haven, Ct. Pat passed into eternal rest on April 4, 2026, after battling cancer.

Pat leaves a legacy of a life well lived, that all of us should envy. Pat was an incredible wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and most of all a great friend to so many. Pat served in the Olathe, KS school system for many years, influencing students right up to her retirement. Giving of herself on behalf of others was always foremost in her life.

Pat was married to the love of her life, the late Albert J. Nowakowski who she now joins in the beauty of heaven. Heaven has a new angel in Pat Nowakowski. Pat and Albert produced a family to be proud of. Their first child Craig, passed away shortly after birth. That tragedy only gave them more strength to build on. They produced three amazing children, Daniel Nowakowski, Kristen Nowakowski Keith (husband Jeff Keith), and Mark Nowakowski and (wife Paige Musick).

Pat was the daughter of the late Henry Bialobrzeski and the late Esther Thayer Bialobrzeski. She is survived by her sister Janice Bialobrzeski Foley and brother- -in -law Jim. Also, nieces and nephews.

Pat loved her dogs for many years, especially her poodles. In her final years she had her lovely dog Lola by her side, and Lola was with her until her final breath. There is more to this legend of a woman. Although dying, she wanted her only sibling, her sister Jan to be with her at the end. Jan made it to Kansas just in time for them to share the final hours together.

Life goes full circle, and Pat had a (crowning achievement) she became a grandma to the pride and joy of her life, her grandson August Keith who was the (crown jewel) of this incredible life. When it came to "Augie" her love was endless.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Penwell-Gable Funeral Home, 14275 S. Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS. Visitation for Pat will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2026 from 6PM-8PM Central Time.

The Nowakowski Family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses, and staff of K.U. Medical Center for the care given to Pat. In the final hours, Pat was given extraordinary care at Kansas City Hospice House, whose compassion and care was exemplary.
