Olivia Roney

Olivia Roney, 80, of Stilwell, Kansas, passed away on January 28, 2026. She was born on March 4, 1945, in Laurel, Mississippi.

Olivia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who dedicated her life to her family. She worked alongside her husband in the family plumbing business for many years and took great pride in being a mother to her four children.

Known affectionately as "Nena" by her family, Olivia had a passion for the simple joys in life. She loved pets and plants, as well as cooking for her loved ones, and appreciated art in all its forms. Her home was always a warm and welcoming place where family gathered to talk over a nice meal and some sweet tea.

Olivia's greatest joy was her family, especially her kids and grandchildren. She was their biggest supporter, always encouraging them to pursue their education, chase their dreams, and become strong, independent individuals. She believed deeply in their potential and wanted nothing more than for them to have opportunities she never had. Her wisdom, guidance, and unconditional love touched everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Glenn Roney; her brothers, Kenneth Walker and Stanley Walker; her daughters, Melissa Roney and Christy Roney; her sons, Nick Roney and his wife Brianne, and Russell Roney and his wife Heather; and her ten cherished grandchildren: Zach, Jake, Caleb, Lexie, Sam, Emma, Ryan, Brooklyn, Cooper, and Kayce. She is also survived by her two beloved great-grandchildren: Jacob Junior and Ember.

Olivia will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her legacy of love, strength, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind.

Rest in peace, Nena. You will be forever in our hearts.
