Con profundo dolor, compartimos que Nicole Marcelina Pérez falleció pacíficamente el sábado 8 de noviembre de 2025, a los 26 años. Una madre dedicada, un espíritu valiente y un alma radiante que dejó este mundo demasiado pronto. Aunque sus años fueron breves, su vida fue plena — rebosante de amor, risas, aventuras y una fe inquebrantable.

Nicole nació el 2 de mayo de 1999 en Olathe, Kansas, hija de Raúl Pérez Estrella y María Portillo Álvarez. Pasó toda su vida en Olathe, asistió a la escuela de cosmetología y disfrutaba ayudando a su madre con su negocio

Nicole deja en vida a sus hijos: Anayeli, Maribelle, Javier y Keilani; a sus padres, Raúl y María; a sus hermanos, Víctor, Chris, Raúl y Aarón; y a su hermana, Cynthia.

Le precedieron en la muerte su abuelo, Nicodemus; su querido tío, Hegel; y su amada hija, Gianna.

La familia era el lugar donde Nicole se sentía más a gusto. Abrazó a sus padres, a sus tres hijas y a su hijo, a sus hermanos y a su hermana, y a su amplio círculo de primos, tías y tíos, entretejiendo a cada uno de ellos en la trama de su vida. Las fiestas eran su época más preciada: momentos en familia, llenando la casa de risas, comidas compartidas y una magia silenciosa. Estas reuniones eran su santuario y el amor que les dedicaba resonará para siempre en los corazones de su familia.

Nicole vivió una vida tejida de amor, risas y un espíritu valiente que miraba al mundo con asombro. Caminó por la vida lista para empacar una maleta, seguir un camino desconocido o abrazar cualquier belleza o misterio que la esperara. Viajar la llenaba de alegría, no solo por los lugares que conocía, sino también por los recuerdos que creaba y las personas con quienes compartía el camino.

Era una cocinera talentosa que expresaba su amor a través de las comidas que preparaba — cocinas cálidas, platos compartidos y sabores que unían a sus seres queridos. Su comida se convirtió en un lenguaje propio: reconfortante, alegre e inolvidable.

La espontaneidad iluminaba su camino. Ya fuera un viaje planeado o una salida de último minuto para probar un restaurante nuevo, ella abordaba cada experiencia con apertura — lista para arriesgarse, explorar y abrazar la vida al máximo.

Arraigada en su fe católica, creía profundamente en la promesa de la vida eterna. Esa fe la sostuvo a lo largo de su vida y ahora consuela a quienes la aman. Mientras lloramos su ausencia, encontramos consuelo al saber que descansa en los brazos de Dios, cuidando de sus hijos con el mismo amor inmenso que les dio aquí en la tierra.

Deja un legado de fortaleza, alegría y amor incondicional que perdura en sus hijos, su familia y en todas las personas que tocó.

La misa se llevará a cabo el sábado 29 de noviembre de 2025 a las 9:00 AM en la Iglesia Católica St. Paul en Olathe, Kansas. El servicio fúnebre se llevará a cabo el domingo 30 de noviembre de 2025 a las 2:00 PM en la capilla Penwell Gabel de Olathe, seguido de una visita hasta las 5:00 PM.

With heavy hearts, we share that Nicole Marcelina Perez passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 26 years old. A devoted mother, fearless spirit, and radiant soul, who left this world far too soon. Though her years were short, her life was full — overflowing with love, laughter, adventure, and unwavering faith.

Nicole was born on May 2, 1999, in Olathe, KS, to Raul Perez Estrella and Maria Portillo Alvarez. She spent her entire life in Olathe, attended cosmetology school, and enjoyed helping her mom with her business.

Nicole is survived by her children, Anayeli, Maribelle, Javier, and Keilani; her parents, Raul and Maria; her brothers, Victor, Chris, Raul, and Aaron; and her sister, Cynthia.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Nicodemus, her dear Uncle Hegel, and her precious daughter, Gianna.

Family was the place where Nicole’s spirit felt most at home. She held her parents, her four beautiful children, her brothers and sister, and her wide circle of cousins, aunts, and uncles close to her heart, weaving each of them into the fabric of her life. The holidays were her cherished season — moments spent with family, filling the house with laughter, shared meals, and quiet magic. These gatherings were her sanctuary, and the love she poured into them will echo in her family’s hearts forever.

Nicole lived a life woven with love, laughter, and a bold spirit that met the world with wonder. She moved through life ready to pack a bag, follow an unfamiliar road, or embrace whatever beauty or mystery awaited her. Travel delighted her, not only for the places it took her, but for the memories she gathered and the people who shared the journey.

A gifted cook, she expressed her love through the meals she made — warm kitchens, shared plates, and flavors that brought loved ones together. Her food became a language of its own, comforting, joyful, and unforgettable.

Spontaneity lit her path. Whether embarking on a planned trip or a last-minute drive to try a new restaurant, she approached each experience with openness — ready to take risks, explore, and embrace life to the fullest.

Rooted in her Catholic faith, she believed deeply in God’s promise of eternal life. That faith carried her and now comforts those who love her. While we grieve her absence, we take solace in knowing she rests in God’s embrace, watching over her children with the same boundless love she gave them here.

She leaves a legacy of strength, joy, and unwavering love that endures in her children, family, and everyone she touched.

A mass will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 9:00 AM at St. Paul Catholic Church in Olathe, KS. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM, at Penwell Gabel’s Olathe Chapel, with a visitation to follow until 5:00 PM.
