Nancy Young

Nancy J. Young, 85, passed away on June 17, 2026. Nancy was born October 13, 1940 to Alfred and Anna (Metzler) Larson. 

Post high school, Nancy went to business school and worked at Mobil Oil until becoming a stay at home mom. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Shirley. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, LeRoy; son Ron (Tammy) Young, and daughter Sherrill (Rich) Quick, 3 grandchildren, plus spouses and 4 great-grandchildren, with one on the way. 

Nancy was one sweet lady who loved the Lord. If you knew her, you know this. Besides studying the Bible, she enjoyed loving on the grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with gardening and canning. 

A visitation will be from 6-8 pm on Monday, June 22nd at Penwell-Gabel, 14275 S. Black Bob Rd, Olathe, KS, 66062. A graveside will be 10 am on Tuesday, June 23rd at Pleasant Valley Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions are to be made to the Monarch Hospice House, 7451 Switzer Rd, #100, Merriam, KS, 66203.
