Mika Paige Farran, beloved daughter, sister, friend, and cherished child of God, entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2025, in Overland Park, Kansas, at the tender age of 19. Born on April 6, 2006, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, Mika radiated love, joy, grace, gentleness, and compassion—gifts she freely shared with all who had the privilege of knowing her.
She is deeply missed by her loving parents, Nick and Elizabeth Farran; her brothers, Cole (and wife Liz) and Jude Farran; her boyfriend, Rylan Schroeder; and a wide circle of extended family and friends who were blessed by her presence.
Mika was filled with kindness, compassion, and quirkiness. She treasured her faith in Jesus, the love of her family and Rylan, and found delight in life’s simple pleasures—her guitar, cooking, Pokémon, and riding her motorcycle. Her servant’s heart and a joyful laugh that could light up any room will be held in memory by those who loved her.
To honor Mika’s life and the impact she had on those around her, family and friends are invited to a visitation service to be held on October 20, 2025, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Countryside Church, located at 14150 W. 175th St., Overland Park, KS 66221. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will take place.
Though her time with us was far too brief, Mika’s legacy of love, faith, and kindness lives on in the hearts of those who knew her. We take comfort in knowing she now rests safely in the arms of Jesus. He is our eternal hope.
