Michael Louis Postlewait

Mike went home to be with his Lord and Savior on July 11, 2026, at the Olathe Hospice House at the age of 83. He was born October 27, 1942, son of Bob and Marjorie Postlewait. He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, John and Tim, and grandson Joshua.

Mike truly enjoyed spending time in the Word of God and with his family. He also enjoyed his work, looking forward to each new day. He had lived in Peoria, Illinois; Chicago; Arlington, Texas; Nederland, Colorado; and had lived in the Overland Park area for 46 years.

He married Sharon Owsley on February 17, 1962, and they have been together for 64 years. They have six children, Steve, David, Kathy (Steen), Kevin, Kristy (Morris), and Jennifer (Skibbe). They have seventeen grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren. How blessed he has been!!

He graduated from Rockhurst College in 1963. His first job was with Marion Laboratories and he was a pharmaceutical salesman. He rapidly became a district manager. In 1979, he stepped out on his own and started a business called Management by Strengths — MBS, Inc. Over 47 years later, he was still working! He was a brilliant seminar leader! His mission in life was to serve the Lord, provide for his family, and to love others more than himself.

He will be greatly missed!
