Michael David Parrish

Michael Parrish of Edwardsville, KS passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026 at the age of 77. He was born at home in Aldrich, MO on October 1, 1948 to Leon and Betty Hensley Parrish. He married Peggy Lyon Parrish on October 11, 1969 in Emporia, KS and together they raised two boys, Scott Allen and James Douglas. Mike worked for the Kansas Department of Transportation from 1969 until he retired in 1999. After two whole days off he went back to work for APAC from 1999 until 2004. From 2004 to 2014, when he actually retired for good, he drove a school bus for First Student. Mike is survived by his wife Peggy, son James, mother Betty and brother Steve. He was preceded in death by his father Leon and son Scott. Cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
