Megan T. Blasco

September 15, 1955 — April 25, 2025

Megan T. Blasco, a creative soul, slipped peacefully into the arms of Jesus on April 25, 2025, at the age of 69 in Overland Park. She was born on September 15, 1955, and brought warmth and inspiration to everyone she met. Her life was filled with curiosity and kindness, and she always led with a smile.

Megan’s talent in Creative Design was nothing short of inspiring. When it came to interior design, she transformed spaces in to cozy and beautiful sanctuaries. She had the skill to connect with her clients and then create designs that perfectly reflected their unique tastes. But what truly set Megan apart was her warm hospitality, making everyone feel like they were part of her welcoming family. A lifelong learner, she was always eager to grow her artistic skills and share her passion with the world.

She was like a gentle breeze, soothing and comforting to those around her. Family and friends knew her as a loving person who was always ready to help others. She was also an amazing cook, and her delicious meals made people feel both happy and nourished.

Beyond her artistic endeavors, she found joy in simple pleasures: gardening, collecting antiques, and traveling to far-flung places — experiences that nourished her adventurous spirit and broadened her horizons. A cherished love for cats brought her immeasurable joy, weaving another thread into the rich tapestry of her life.

Megan's battle with cancer was a testament to her extraordinary resilience and strength; for six years, she fought valiantly, unaware of the profound impact her journey would leave on those who adored her. Throughout her struggles, she remained an embodiment of grace, courage, faith and unwavering love.

As a devoted family woman, her proudest accomplishment was her loving family, above all earthly treasures. She is survived by her beloved husband of forty-nine years, Tom; daughters Annie, Amber and Carrie; and her cherished grandchildren; Isabel, Iain and Vivian, who will remember her with fondness and deep affection.

Megan was preceded in death by her loving parents, Gordon and Martha Thomas, whose nurturing legacy undoubtedly contributed to the radiant person Megan became. In this moment of sorrow, we reflect upon the gift that was Megan T. Blasco — a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, whose indelible mark upon this world will be cherished for generations to come.
