Marjorie Ann Blasche

Marjorie Ann Blasche, 73, of Leawood, Kansas, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025. She was born on June 14, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Henry and Marjorie (Ward) Stein.

Marjorie, known to the family as Ann, grew up in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Bishop Hogan High School. She met John Blasche while working at the Hallmark Cards production center at Crown Center. They were married on May 3, 1974. Afterward, they lived in San Leandro, CA, for a few years before moving back to Overland Park, KS, where they had one child, Lorna. She loved watching Doctor Who and Star Trek. She enjoyed knitting and crocheting, and even made one version of Tom Baker’s Doctor scarf.

Marjorie is survived by her daughter, Lorna Blasche.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Marjorie Stein, husband, John Blasche, and siblings, Julia Dove and John Stein.

The family will receive guests for a reception from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, August 8, 2025, at Penwell-Gabel's Olathe Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the University of Kansas Health System. They helped to keep her going for as long as she did.
