Her involvement with Asbury United Methodist Church was a testament to her faith and community spirit, where she touched many lives through her volunteer work and involvement with the choir.

Marilyn was most passionate about the practice of T’ai Chi Ch’uan which she began in 1986. She attended workshops and competitions as well as taught T’ai Chi classes through the Johnson County Parks and Recreation 50Plus program at Roeland Park from 1994 through 2020. She also loved music and studied piano, classical guitar, and voice throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Irwin Norman Kimmi and Rebecca Gene McCune Kimmi.
