Margie Plagens

March 19, 1946 — April 27, 2025

Margie Plagens, a beloved wife, mother and grandmother was a woman of strong spirit and boundless energy, a true outdoorswoman at heart. She leaves behind a legacy of adventure, love and a deep appreciation for the simple beauty of nature. She found joy in many activities such as hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, and exploring the natural world. Margie was once featured in Field & Stream magazine as one of the top women bowhunters in the US. She enjoyed sharing her love of nature with her family and friends.

Margie – or Grammy as she was known by many - adored her grandchildren and delighted in their accomplishments. She had a distinguished career in retail and custom decorating. In her retirement she delighted in gardening and was an accomplished seamstress who enjoyed sewing dance costumes for her granddaughter’s and many others. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

Margie passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025. She was preceded in death by her daughter Debi Gregory. She is survived by her loving husband David Plagens, children Steve (Theresa) White and Christina White, grandchildren Alyvia Kreitlow, Denah Gregory, Elena Lopez, Jeremey White and Jessica White and brother Frank Case.

While Margie’s family grieves her loss, they choose to remember her in a way that honors her spirit. A celebration of life will be held privately at a future date.
