Lyle’s proudest accomplishments were his grandchildren, a legacy of love and family that brought him immense joy. He is survived and lovingly remembered by his sons Garret Barber, his wife Amanda and Weston Barber, and Brant Barber. His legacy continues through his grandchildren, Alexander Bright and his wife Kailyn, Molly Barber, and Elliot Barber, and extends to his great-grandson Archer Lee Barber.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Janice Powers and Marilyn Wadman, whose memories he cherished deeply.

Family, friends, and all who admired Lyle are invited to pay their respects and celebrate his life at a visitation service to be held on June 18, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, located at 14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, Kansas 66062.  A graveside service will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS.

Lyle Dean Barber’s life was a testament to dedication, love, and the pursuit of one’s passions. He will be remembered not only for his achievements but for the warmth and strength he imparted to his family and community. His memory will soar on, much like the skies he so dearly loved.
