Loretta Gertrude Weisbrod

Loretta Gertrude Weisbrod, 97, passed away on September 1, 2022 at Olathe Medical Center. She was born on September 14, 1924 to James and Elizabeth (Lienhart) Daugherty at Conway, AR.
Loretta grew up in Conway and enjoyed telling tales of living on the farm with her family in rural Arkansas. She attended St. Vincent's Infirmary School of Nursing in Little Rock, AR, during World War II and worked as a nurse until her retirement in 1986.
In 1958, she married John W. Weisbrod. They moved to the Kansas City area in 1969 and were married for 59 years until his death in 2017.
She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Weisbrod and her husband Randall Holmes; daughter Amy Weisbrod and her husband Eric Wichern; grandchildren Sydney and Zoe Holmes and Alexander and Grace Wichern; nieces Patricia (Carroll) Keatts of Little Rock, Sarah (Ralph) Thornton of Conway, and Rebecca (Randy) Kersten of Little Rock; and nephew, Bernard (Lucille) Dayer of St. George, UT, and a multitude of other nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Clarence Daugherty, John Daugherty, James Daugherty, and Raymond Daugherty; and two sisters, Mary Moix and Bertha Dayer.
Funeral service will be at 9:30 am, Tuesday, September 6, 2022, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 16000 W 143rd St, Olathe, KS 66062.
