Latoya Patrice Madearis

Latoya Patrice Woods was born on March 18, 1983 in Hayti, MO to Kenneth Henderson and Melissa Woods. She is the great grand-daughter of the late Robert Banks. The grand-daughter of the late Marion Henderson and the late Lucy Mae Woods.

Latoya’s life was a beautiful tapestry of faith, love, and family. Latoya had a rare gift of effortless wit that could make an entire room burst into laughter. When Isaac and Latoya met, he knew he had found his good thing. On October 14, 2022 they cleaved together and became one flash United in Holy Matrimony. Their union was filled with endless laughter and shared adventures. Isaac stood beside her as a true partner in faith.

A multitalented soul, Latoya brought beauty into this world through her writing, crafting, and various acts of service. Latoya earned her Bachelor of Social Work from Arkansas State University, before going on to achieve her Master of Social Work from the University of Missouri Kansas City fulfilling her purpose of serving others. Latoya brought a spirit of excellence to everything she touched. She was an accomplished author, career woman, and entrepreneur. She balanced her creative and professional worlds with grace. Her incredible prowess as a writer and entrepreneur was fueled by her endless dedication, creativity, and love for her work. She was a wife, a daughter, a granddaughter, a sister, an aunt, a niece, a cousin, a coworker, a best friend, a confidant, and a personal diary. Most importantly, she was a Woman of GOD. She would often say, “Baby, let me tell you about my GOD. Let me tell you what my GOD can do.”

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Lucy Mae Woods, grandfather Marion Henderson, great grandfather Robert Banks, and father-in-law James Madearis. Latoya will be deeply missed but forever remembered by her loving husband Isaac Madearis of Lee’s Summit, MO. Her parents Kenneth Henderson and Melissa Woods of Kansas City, MO.
