Kenneth Lloyd Osbourn, age 81, passed peacefully at The Village of Olathe on September 21, 2025. Kenneth was born February 29, 1944, in Clay Center, KS to Lloyd Osbourn & Myrtle (Ramey) Osbourn. Kenneth married Patricia Carnahan August 4, 1968, in Clay Center, KS and they had 3 children together. Over the years Kenneth lived in Lenexa, KS, Hutchinson, KS, Olathe, KS and Gardner, KS and made many friends along the way.
Kenneth was in the Army from June 1962 to June 1965. Kenneth attended Kansas City Business College and earned a Diploma in Business Administration in 1969. He worked as an Auditor for the Railroad with Western Weighing & Inspection Bureau. He later worked at Wal-Mart until he retired. Kenneth had 3 children and 6 Grandchildren.
Kenneth enjoyed taking his grandchildren to and from school, attending school functions and their sporting events. On his drives taking the kids to school, he would often play “That’s Amore” by Dean Martin. They will always remember those times. He enjoyed Disney movies, Westerns and a variety of music. Some of his favorite movies starred John Wayne, Clint Eastwood or Bing Crosby. His favorite music included Elvis, Gene Autry, Buddy Holly.
Kenneth was preceded in death by former wife, Patricia, who passed January 31, 2017, his parents, sister, Barb and Brother, Jack. Kenneth is survived by his daughters Kim Komorek (Ed), & Kendra O’Brien (Dan) and son, Chris and his 6 Grandchildren: Dalton, Allison, Walter, Ethan, Michela and Karmela. He was loved and will be missed by all who knew him.
Kenneth was a member of Lenexa United Methodist Church and enjoyed visits with Pastor Lori and friends Dave & Marilyn. They would visit to provide prayer, worship and Communion.
Kenneth’s visitation will be held Thursday, October 2nd from 6-8pm at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Black Bob Rd in Olathe. He will be buried at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery with Military Honors on Friday, October 3rd at 11am.
