Keagan Kahl, 18, passed away unexpectedly on April 18, 2026, in Los Angeles County, California. Born on June 24, 2007, in Overland Park, Kansas, he was a deeply cherished son, brother, grandson, and friend whose life, though far too short, left a lasting impact on everyone who knew him.
Keagan is survived by his father and stepmother, Chad and Kate Kahl; his mother and stepfather, Katy Jones and Mark Taylor; his brother Declan Kahl and sister Maeve Kahl; his sisters Alexis and Brooklyn Jones; and his brothers Camden Jones and Alexander Taylor. He is also survived by his grandparents Donald Kahl, Susan Gates, Robin Riley, and Kevin Peters, and Dolly and Dennis Donahue; his step-grandparents Mark and Jody Sedivy, and Kenneth and Donna Miller; his aunt and uncle Kayce and Cassidy Kovanda, and Eric and Jenny Scott; along with a large extended family of relatives and stepfamily members who loved him dearly.
Keagan had a creative and curious spirit that showed itself in everything he did. He was an avid cook who took pride in making food from scratch, even going so far as to handwrite his own cookbook. In addition to his love for cooking, Keagan was an artistic builder and creator with a passion for gaming. He could often be found designing and constructing intricate worlds and systems in Minecraft or building detailed creations with Lego, reflecting both his imagination and patience.
Above all, Keagan was loved and supported by many. His presence brought joy, creativity, and warmth to those around him, and his memory will be carried forward by all who knew him.
