Joshua’s life was marked by a deep passion for the activities and interests that brought him joy. From an early age, hockey captured his heart, and he was an ardent supporter of the Chicago Blackhawks. His love for the sport extended into his youth where he was a dedicated wrestler in high school, showcasing not only his athleticism but his spirit of perseverance and discipline. This passion for wrestling inspired his career goal: to become a wrestling coach, guiding and mentoring others as he had been guided.
In addition to his love of hockey and wrestling, Joshua enjoyed many other pastimes. He found joy in golfing, sharing both friendly competition and camaraderie with friends. Video games were a favorite pastime, offering relaxation and connection in his free moments. Joshua also cherished outdoor adventures, especially float trips with his friends and camping excursions that allowed him to embrace the natural beauty of the world around him. Vacationing in Colorado was another highlight, where he could find peace and adventure amid the mountains. More recently, Joshua discovered a flair for cooking, a hobby that added a new and pleasurable dimension to his life.
Joshua’s four cats—Kaner, Sasha, Luna, and Elsa—were cherished companions and a testament to his nurturing spirit and love for animals.
He is survived by his father, Martin W. Below, and his brothers, Martin V. Below and Matthew J. Below, who carry forward his memory with love and respect. Joshua was also preceded in death by his mother, Jody C. Below, whose presence remains a vital part of the family’s foundation.
Throughout his life, Joshua embodied a quiet strength and gentle warmth, offering kindness and joy to those around him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family, friends, and all who shared in his journey. He will long be remembered for his passions, his dreams, and the many ways he touched lives with sincerity and care.
