John Joseph O'Roark went home to the Lord on April 10, 2012.
John was born August 28, 1946 in Kansas City, MO to Joseph and Helen
Shelton O'Roark. John married his high school sweetheart JoAnn Brown
on June 8, 1968.
John accomplished a lot in his 30 year career as a manager for IBM.
After retiring he stayed connected to his love of sports by
involvement in athletic activities in the Blue Valley School District.
He was inducted into the Blue Valley High School Hall of Fame on
October 8th, 2010. His favorite pastime was hunting with friends and
family.
John was preceded in death by his father, Joseph. He is survived by
his mother Helen, wife JoAnn, his brother Timothy and wife Rhonda. He
is also survived by his 3 children; Patrick, Steven and wife Jamie,
Ryan and wife Jennifer, 6 grandchildren and nephew Timothy. JoAnn
would like to thank Amber, Bonnie, Jessie, Lauren, Lynn and Teresa at
Olathe Cancer Care for their caring support.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to
Stilwell United Methodist Church.
