James Michael Zuchowski, fondly known as Jim, was born on June 14, 1956, in Seattle, WA, to Evelyn and Lawrence (Larry) Zuchowski. He was the third of four siblings: Mary Ann Raasina, Joan Broom, and David Zuchowski. Growing up in Bellevue, WA, Jim's early years were filled with adventure, mischief, and a love for the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing both football and soccer, creating memories that shaped his lifelong appreciation for nature and camaraderie.
Jim graduated from Newport High School in 1974, alongside his high school sweetheart, Cheryl Howard. Their love story continued at Washington State University, where Jim earned a degree in Business and Marketing in May 1978. Just a few months later, in August of 1978, Jim and Cheryl were married, embarking on a marriage filled with immense joy, partnership, and love that spanned over 46 beautiful years.
Together, Jim and Cheryl raised three wonderful daughters: Lisa Lathrop, Amy Stiner, and Sara Deuel, each bringing their own happiness into Jim's life. He was a devoted father and found great pride and joy in his role as a grandfather to five cherished grandchildren: James Lathrop, Andrew and Ryan Stiner, and Mallory and Harper Deuel.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife Cheryl, his daughters and their spouses: Lisa and Dan Lathrop, Amy and Bob Stiner, and Sara and Bryan Deuel, as well as his five adoring grandchildren. Jim’s legacy of love, warmth, and laughter will continue to shine through his family and all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but forever remembered with love.
