James Edward Madearis

James Edward Madearis, age 79, passed February 8, 2026 surrounded by loving family. He is survived by wife, of 47 years, Shirley Madearis and children Isaac Madearis, Rachel Madearis, Naomi Pritchett, Jonathan Madearis, and Shane Gross, and brother Dave Roberts, the remaining of four brothers, Anthony Roberts and Michael Walker have passed.

James was born in Austin, Texas and raised in the Fresno, California area, where he was renowned track star of his youth. He was a man of great faith and strength which proceeded him. He lived a life of love, kindness, and acceptance. He loved without condition.

He loved sports and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He will be remembered for his faith, his quiet strength and complete devotion to his family.
