Mary Isabelle Kruep

Isabelle Kruep was born on October 24, 1934. She was married to the love of her life, Roger, for 40 years prior to his passing in 2023. She is survived by her 4 children, 3 step- children, 13 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and her loving dog, Teddy.

Isabelle grew up in Olathe and attended Olathe High School. She worked at the Johnson County Extension office for over 40 years.

Isabelle enjoyed spending time with her family and going out to dinner with family and friends. She loved to dance from the time she was a child all the way into her golden years. Isabelle and Roger enjoyed traveling to tropical locations with friends and family.

The Kansas City Chiefs were also a passion for Isabelle. She watched them faithfully and was a season ticket holder for years.

She will be most remembered as the matriarch of her blended family. She had a calm welcoming nature yet was the life of any party. She enjoyed hosting family holidays which created traditions that will be remembered forever.

Isabelle and Roger had a home at the Lake of the Ozarks. They would spend summers there with friends and family. She and their beloved dog were Roger’s co-captains on their sunset boat rides each evening after dinner. This is how she would want to be remembered sitting next to Roger on calm lake waters, the summer sun setting behind them.
