I’Della Ann (Morley) Vogel 83 of Overland Park, Kansas passed away surrounded by loved ones on Sunday April 5, 2026. Born November 5, 1942, I’Della was the daughter of the late Willard O. and Doris (Holmes) Morley of Blanchard, Iowa. Surviving are her husband, Marvin Vogel; daughter, Sherry Vogel; son, Scott Vogel (wife, Cathy); grandchildren, great granddaughter and several other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Willard J. Morley.
I’Della and Marvin were married on June 11, 1961, at Blanchard United Methodist Church.
Della (as her daycare kids called her) had a fulfilling career as Director of the Childcare Program at Indian Heights United Methodist Church and operated her own in-home daycare. She was deeply committed to supporting the growth and well-being of the children in her care.
I’Della fell in love with horses at a young age, beginning a lifelong connection with them. When she was eight, she received her first horse, and that moment sparked a deep passion for riding. Over time, her skills and confidence grew as she took on barrel racing, performed impressive riding stunts, and trail riding. What started as a love for horses became a defining part of her life and a reflection of her fearless spirit.
She will be remembered for her deep love of family, children, and horses, and for the many memories made on family vacations spent camping, skiing, relaxing at the beach, and visiting Walt Disney World.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Indian Heights United Methodist Church, 10211 Nall Ave, Overland Park, KS 66027.
