Heather Lynn (Swank) Eastwood passed away unexpectedly at the age of 56 with her family by her side on August 4, 2026. Heather was born on February 10, 1970, in Olathe, Kansas, to Arthur and Virigina Swank. She spent most of her life in Olathe, KS.
Heather was a charter member of New Hope Presbyterian Church in America from the age of two, with her main passions for missions, VBS, nursery, and helping plan church events. She was known for her humor, loyalty, and her unwavering love and generosity to charities and those around her. She loved the sunshine, the beach, gardening, NASCAR, time at the lake, spending time with family and most of all candy, candy, candy.
Heather started in the job market dressed as a chicken promoting the new restaurant in town, Po’ Folks, and finished her career in risk management and human resources, before retiring earlier to care for her father full-time.
Those left to cherish her memory are; her father Arthur Swank of Olathe, KS, sister Kimberly Weitzel (Michael) of Olathe, KS, and their son Cody of Phoenix AZ, brother Aaron Swank (Carrie Ramage) and their children Kaylea, and Addi of Overland Park, KS. She is also survived by her treasured best friend and family, Heidi Hopper (Scott), Tiffany Harrison, and her children Vincent Harrison, Ava Harrison, and Sylvia Harrison of Olathe, KS, as-well-as Millie her beloved fur-child.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Swank (Olathe, KS), grandparents, Gysbert and Jacoba Swank (Peoria, IA), Elton and Margaret Ver Ploeg (Pella, IA), and step-grandfather Gerard Gosselink (Pella, IA).
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to: New Hope Presbyterian Church in America (13310 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS) or New Hope Food Pantry (13310 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS).
